If rejection is something you get used to, I don't think I'm quite there yet.
Today was a day of no: "no, you can't go into the press center," even though I already let you in twice, "no, you can't take pictures from the crowd," even though the person to your right and your left are both filming off tripods, and "no, you can't go into the stands and take pictures because your ALL ACCESS card doesn't have a 4 on it." Lots of fun.
It became a challenge, me against the system.
Here I find myself torn. As an Italian I am proud of my fellow Italians and at how they've managed to keep us all safe, even if this means they have to check my pass at every corner and both when I enter a venue and when I exit one. Go figure.
However, as a photographer I have been brainwashed to focus solely on defeating the system, bypassing barricades, sneaking into limited access zones and getting that photo.
So, in essence, thanks for protecting me, but stop kicking me out. In the end, thanks to a cute police officer and my infinite charm I was able to shoot.
These are some images from my day, hope you enjoy.
